Who I am now is but a step on the path of who I am becoming.
I honour this step, but will not be too attached to it.
I know in order to climb higher I MUST leave this step behind completely.
Imagine being half way up a staircase and suddenly not wanting to leave your current step!
Yet you still believe that you want to climb higher.
So you just put one foot on the next step, then the next and the next, all the while keeping the other foot firmly planted on the original step.
You’ll soon be comically spread out and not have climbed any higher in reality.
So I choose to let go of this Vivek.
I love him, but will not hold onto him.
I wonder what he will look like at the top of the staircase?
